US Building $592 Millon Embassy in Iraq

While much of Iraq lies in ruins and it's residents continue to be without electricity 3 years after the war officially ended, plans for the new U.S. Embassy in Iraq are underway. Dubbed "George W's Palace," the US Government is building the largest U.S. Embassy in the world in Iraq along the banks of the Tigris. Architects claim that it will be visible from space, larger than the Vatican city and big enough to contain four Millennium Domes. The sheer size of the complex, 104 acres, suggests that we might be spending a lot longer over there than some of us may have hoped for.
