Robot Parking Garages

It may seem like something out of a science fiction novel, but robotic parking garages are becoming reality. In February, New York will get its first automatic garage in Chinatown.
The fully automatic parking process will allow 67 vehicles to squeeze into a space only 24 cars could be parked manually. Cars will drive on to a pallet which will, like an elevator, slide up and down, but also sideways. The only human on-site will be an attendant who will collect your money.
Robotic parking garages first appeared, where else, in Japan.
